The Civic Ensemble Artistic Ensemble is a group of community-engaged artists who collaborate with the staff & Board of Directors to steer the company’s artistic direction. The Ensemble visions and grapples with the artistic framework of the company, including the intersections of our art-making with urgent & longterm questions in the local community, systems of oppression, and positioning of our work in a larger context of community-engaged theatre. Members also serve as key artistic leaders across programming, including as actors, directors, devisors, and facilitators. The Ensemble was formed in January 2020 with a goal of stewarding a multi-racial, multi-disciplinary ensemble of artists who would collectively vision and develop our artistry.
